The GM-200X USB 2.0 Extension Cable also features a power LED indicator and includes an AC Adapter plug to give extra power, up to 500ma of boosted power which will power most USB devices.

The GM-200X is by no means a passive cable assembly and features plug and play installation. It has a patent pending ASIC chip inside that buffers the in-going and outgoing USB signals.

Passive cables have the risk of data loss because they cannot pass the signals efficiently.
