Excellent little adapter, at a very reasonable price !!!
The adapter arrived very quickly, and performs flawlessly! The tiny size (all in one, without a cable between connectors) is ideal for my needs. Love the built-in LED indicators, that show all the data transfer activity. Using this to interface my vintage Garmin GPS V device to my Windows 10 Laptop for transferring maps back and forth. Working great !This adapter came with a mini CD containing drivers, but wasn’t needed because Windows found the driver automatically.Excellent little adapter, at a very reasonable price !!!

Ideal USB to RS232 adapter. Looked high and low online for a USB to RS232 serial adapter. This adapter is perfect as it allows normal RS232 type cables to connect to it and to use the thumb screws to keep the cable connected. Also has LEDs in the body to show TX/RX data condition.

Good product for connecting GENLINK serial connection to newer computers with serial. I like how it can be moved from one USB port to another without having to reconfigure. And when used with IOGEAR GUE216 USB BOOSTER Extension cable it allows longer connection. I like the LEDs that confirm data transfer, which helps to analyze/confirm connection.

I wish all setups were this easy. Use it with my Windows 7 virtual machine on my MacBook Air for programming my dual band HAM radio and reading data from Onset HOBO’s.

I plugged it in, windows 7 downloads a driver, then it works. I used it with Cisco console cable, i used it on an outback power systems mate, works fine. great quality item for all the old junk with serial ports. has a little LED on it that flashes when it is a) initialized by the computer, and b) when your receiving data over it. I don’t know if that is very helpful, but…
